Pokémon GO Fest Dortmund 2019 details
Pokémon GO Fest Dortmund 2019 takes place at Westfalenpark in Dortmund, Germany from July 4 to July 7, 2019. Participants can purchase a daily ticket for a single day only. There are two types of tickets:
The prices listed above are without taxes and fees, so your mileage may vary. Unlike the Safari Zone Dortmund event, GO Fest is a ticketed event and you won’t be able to enter the Westfalenpark area, however, don’t fret if you don’t get a ticket, as you will be able to participate in special global challenges yet again. Details for the global challenges during Pokémon GO Fest Dortmund will be revealed ahead of the event.
Niantic has also shared the official event promo image, which features a select group of Pokemon, including W Unown:
Trainers attending Pokémon GO Fest Dortmund will be able to experience a full day of encountering and catching Pokémon with others across four unique Pokémon GO-themed habitats taking shape in the real world as physical installations across the park. As usual, there will be additional content during the event:
- photo opportunities,
- group photos,
- a Pikachu costume character meet and greet
- unofficial meetups, Youtubers roaming the city and more
Anne Beuttenmüller, Head of EMEA Marketing at Niantic, stated the following in the official Press Release:
“The City of Dortmund has been an incredible partner in bringing a second Pokémon GO real-world community event to their city and Westfalenpark, one of Europe’s most beautiful parks. Pokémon GO Fest Dortmund will give thousands of Trainers around the world an opportunity to explore this unique city, get exercise in the real world, meet and befriend fellow Trainers and more importantly, catch Pokémon together.”
Although the PR statement may sound a bit bland, Dortmund is a truly incredible city for Pokemon GO players. If our last year’s experience is anything to judge by, GO Fest Dortmund will be a mind-blowing spectacle throughout the whole event. A bit of last years footage:
